Privacy Policy
In short
- Thue has no accounts. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your game progress stays on your iPhone.
- Usage statistics (Google Firebase Analytics) help us improve the game. They are not used for ads.
- Ads (Google AdMob) use your device's advertising identifier only if you allow tracking in Apple's system prompt.
- We do not sell your data.
Thue is a puzzle game for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app uses, why, and who receives it. Short version: your game progress stays on your device; anonymous usage statistics go to Google Firebase; ads are shown through Google AdMob; the “Remove ads” purchase goes through Apple.
What stays on your device
To keep your place in the game, Thue stores your game progress on your iPhone:
- solved levels, your best result and best time;
- the time you have spent on each chapter;
- rule drafts;
- the selected difficulty;
- the last level you opened, to continue from it;
- whether you have seen the tutorial and the intro screen.
This data stays on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not synced through iCloud.
Usage statistics (Google Firebase Analytics)
Thue uses Google Firebase Analytics to see how the game is played: which levels are hard, where players stop, what to fix. Firebase collects:
- game events, such as starting or solving a level, and the screens you open;
- sessions: when and how long the app is used;
- app version, iOS version and device model;
- country and language;
- the Firebase installation ID — a random identifier of this app installation.
These statistics are not linked to your name or email, and we do not use them for advertising. Firebase does not receive your rule drafts.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Thue shows ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect:
- the advertising identifier of your device (IDFA) — only if you allow tracking in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt;
- approximate location based on your IP address;
- data about ads: which ads were shown and whether you tapped them;
- diagnostics: crashes and ad loading performance.
If you do not allow tracking, the app does not receive the advertising identifier, and Google shows ads that are not based on your activity in other apps and websites.
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Thue shows Google’s consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time in the app: Progress → Privacy settings.
“Remove ads” purchase
You can turn ads off with a one-time purchase, Remove ads, through the App Store. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment details. The app only learns whether the purchase is active. If you reinstall the app or use a new iPhone, tap Restore purchases to get it back.
Who receives data
- Google — usage statistics (Firebase) and ads (AdMob). Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses data from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Apple — the App Store purchase and the tracking prompt. Apple’s privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
We do not sell your data and do not pass it to anyone else.
How long data is kept
Game progress is kept on your device until you reset it or delete the app. Google keeps analytics and ad data for a limited period set in the Firebase and AdMob settings, and under its own policies.
Your choices
- Tracking. Turn tracking off for Thue at any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The app then no longer receives the advertising identifier.
- Ad consent (EEA and UK). Change or withdraw your consent in the app: Progress → Privacy settings.
- Personalized ads in general. Manage your ad settings with Google: adssettings.google.com.
How to delete your data
- Game progress. In the app: Progress → Reset progress… → Reset. This erases solved levels, best results and times, chapter times, rule drafts and the last level, and sets the difficulty back to Normal. It keeps the marks that the tutorial and the intro screen were shown. To erase everything, delete the app from your iPhone.
- Usage statistics. They are linked to the Firebase installation ID, not to you as a person. Deleting the app removes this ID from your device; a new installation gets a new one. To ask us to delete the statistics already collected, write to artem.kumskovmail@gmail.com.
Children
Thue is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child has used the app and data was collected, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
