Terms of Use

Effective 27 October 2026

In short

  • Thue is a single-player puzzle game for iPhone. There are no accounts.
  • The game may show ads. “Remove ads” is an optional one-time purchase through Apple.
  • Your progress is stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes it.
  • Play fair: no cheats, hacks or copies of the game.

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Artem Kumskov (“we”, “us”), the developer of Thue, a single-player puzzle game for iPhone. By downloading or playing the game, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

About these terms

You get Thue from the App Store under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). These terms add rules specific to Thue. If they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies.

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app, its content and support, and for any claims about it. Apple has no obligation to maintain or support the app.

If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you. Thue is not intended for children under 13.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play Thue for your own non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Usage Rules.

The game is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights to Thue, including its name, levels, code, art and sounds. You may share screenshots and videos of your own play, for example in reviews and streams, as long as you do not present them as official.

Fair play

When you use Thue, do not:

  • copy, modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • use cheats, modified versions or tools that change the game or your progress;
  • bypass or tamper with the ads, the in-app purchase or its verification;
  • interact with ads by automated or fraudulent means;
  • sell, rent, sublicense or distribute the app or any part of it, including its levels.

Ads and third parties

The free version of Thue may show ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Advertised products belong to third parties: we do not control or endorse them, and any deal with an advertiser is between you and them.

The app uses third-party services — Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform — under their own terms. What data they receive and how to control it is described in our Privacy Policy.

“Remove ads” purchase

“Remove ads” is an optional one-time in-app purchase. After it, the app no longer shows ads. It does not unlock levels or give any advantage in the puzzles: every level can be played without it.

Apple processes the payment under its own terms, and the price is shown in the App Store before you pay. We never see your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a purchase is refunded or revoked, ads may return.

On a new or reset iPhone, or after reinstalling the app, use Restore purchases in the menu to get the purchase back.

Progress and updates

Thue has no accounts and no cloud save. Your progress is stored only on your iPhone: if you reset it in the app, delete the app or lose the device, the progress is lost, and we cannot restore it.

We may update Thue to fix bugs, change or add levels, balance the difficulty, or add, change or remove features. We do not promise that the game or any feature will always be available, and we may stop offering it.

Warranties and liability

We work hard to make Thue clear and stable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties beyond those in these terms and the Standard EULA, and we do not promise that the game will be free of errors or interruptions.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for lost progress, and our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Thue and 50 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Thue at any time by deleting it. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, your licence ends, and you must stop using the app and delete it. The sections “Warranties and liability” and “Governing law and disputes” still apply after that.

Governing law and disputes

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live.

If you have a problem with the game, write to us first: most issues can be solved by email.

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part of these terms, we have not waived it.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the game or the law changes. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.

These terms are available in English, Russian and Ukrainian. If a translation differs from the English text, the English version applies, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
